I’ve been wanting to make this blog post for a while but I have been slacking on the blog front a little bit. I’ve shared with you guys before that one of my biggest goals is to lose weight. I was on a great path before my pregnancy but with the terrible fatigue I had, I fell off the wagon. Then we moved, then I was too pregnant, after that it was my c-section. For the past almost two years, I have made excuse after excuse after excuse. No longer.
Now that Jacob is more mobile, it has become very apparent that I am out of shape. As much as I want to lose weight for me, I want to lose weight for Jacob too. I want to be able to go down the slide with him at the park, I want to be able to go on rides with him. I do not want my weight to have a negative impact on his life. My goal is to live a very long and fulfilling life for him and any future children that we may be blessed with.
Every Sunday, my goal is to share my goals for the coming week. I will be sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly. Let’s be honest, nothing is ever perfect. Especially when it pertains to weight loss. There are ups and downs and two steps forward and five steps back. I have been through this multiple times but I am wanting to share with you because this time I am actually prepared to make a change. Freddie and I have both committed to each other that we will push and motivate one another. I’m really looking forward to getting this journey going and sharing along the way.
To start this off, I want to give a small recap from this past week.
This past week wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either. I have shared that I’m working on a certification for Medical Transcription Editing and I have been pulling some late nights to get more work done. Because of that I skipped all my morning workouts last week. Although I didn’t work out, I still made pretty good food choices! Freddie and I have made sure to only buy food that suits our goals. by keeping junk food out of the house, it keeps our temptation low.
Another thing that has helped us greatly is planning our meals. We have been aiming for five to six meals a day just a few hours apart. And while it is slightly monotonous, we have the same meals every day for two weeks. It allows us to plan ahead of time and to cut back on the grocery bill which are absolute must-haves for us to succeed.
I hope that you guys enjoyed this small update and I really look forward to looping you all in on this coming journey. If you’re interested in following our fitness journey, you can follow us on our “fitness” Instagram here.
