Hi everybody!

I hope everyone had an amazing long labor day weekend! This weekend, we had a lot going on. Unfortunately, Freddie did have to work all day on Saturday, but we were very lucky that he did have off on Sunday and Monday!

Sunday was a big day for us. We got to spend the day with not one, but both of our families, which was just wonderful. First, we headed up to my aunt and uncle’s lakehouse to celebrate my grandfather’s birthday. We had a great time, it was really fun to get all dolled up for a day of being out, also! While we were at the lakehouse, we were able to get some really great photos of my mom and myself and me and Freddie. It was so nice to be able to spend the day with everyone and celebrate my grandpa!

After we finished up at the lakehouse, we headed over to Freddie’s aunt’s house to meet up and talk about their next big family gatherings and the big, family trip that we are going on in 2018. We were able to talk about the baby and upcoming events we all plan on going to and at that moment it really hit me that our little man is going to be here soon! It is so crazy to think that it won’t just be Freddie, the dogs, and I anymore. After that, we took the long way heading home and we just spent time talking about the baby and the blog and the dogs, and it was just so, so nice to spend time with Freddie. When Freddie started his new job in July, it was a 180 flip for us. It gave us financial stability like his old job never could. However, his work schedule threw us for a loop; days he had never worked before became days that he was required to work. While we are so thankful for this opportunity and the security it provides for our family, it’s really been an adjustment for us and I have learned to treasure the times that we have together so much more. Especially when we talk about silly little things and we just get to enjoy each other’s company. Those are my favorite days!

On labor day, we hoped and prayed for actual labor, haha. Just kidding! We actually started our day a little bit late, which I was so happy about because it meant that Freddie finally got some time to sleep in. Then we headed out to Petco to grab some dog food and to the (insanely busy) grocery store to pick up some Ziploc bags and garbage bags because we were all out and in desperate need of them! We made our way back to the house and watched a little tv and got to snuggle on the couch for a bit. Then, we spent a little bit of time outside playing with the two dapper dogs and we headed out again. I spend so much time at home and Freddie knows that I hate sitting around, so he always tries to get me out of the house when he can! So, he decided to take me on a little drive and we had so much fun just talking about whatever popped into our heads, from the upcoming wedding to him continuing his education after he gets his Bachelor’s degree to talking about the little guy and his impending arrival. We even spent a little bit of time looking at houses around where we live so we could get an idea of pricing when we are ready to get a house of our own (wayyyyy) down the road!

Days like Sunday and Monday just made me so thankful for the amazing life that I have and all of the amazing people in it. I just am so appreciative for this amazing weekend that I had with the people that I love so much. It was a nice, little final hurrah before the baby comes and it just made me so excited that he will be here with us soon.

I wanted to do something a little different and share some of the photos that I took with you guys this weekend, I hope you enjoy them!
