I have some exciting news to share with you! This weekend, I got married to my best friend. We had a small ceremony with my parents, my in-laws, our siblings, Jacob, and Freddie and I’s grandparents as well as his aunt, uncle, and nephew. I wore a simple, ivory dress that I got from PinkBlush and a gorgeous Vera Wang sash from David’s Bridal. I also added a pop of color with the Jessica Simpson Jonii pump.
The wedding was at Freddie’s family’s church. He has known the pastor for years, so we thought it would be perfect for him to marry us. Ultimately, we decided on a small wedding because we didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a wedding. For us, getting married was about us; we wanted our main focus to be about our vows and our family. While we could have had a guest list of 100 people, we wanted it to be intimate. I always hear that weddings really aren’t for the bride and groom, they’re for everyone else because you’re constantly checking up on everyone. We just didn’t want that for our wedding, which led to our decision to keep everything intimate.
To be honest with you, we could not have had a better wedding. It was so amazing. My dad got to walk me down the aisle, we got to include the baby, and our grandparents were able to attend! It was truly wonderful.
I hope you guys enjoyed us sharing our little wedding with you. Did you have a big wedding or a little wedding? Would you do it the same way over again? Let us know in the comments below! 🙂
