I just started following a YouTuber named Caitlyn Neier and I have absolutely loved watching her vlogs. She just started her channel this year and after binge watching some of her videos, I was inspired. She has done so much work in the few months that she has started her channel, it really drove me to start my own.
If you have been following me for any length of time, you also know how much I enjoy following Jennifer Ross at Pretty Neat Living and her blog as well as her YouTube channel. I found Jennifer in the early months of my pregnancy, shortly after she had her daughter. It was so much fun to be able to watch her navigate the new trails of motherhood. I really related to her and watching her made me excited for Jacob’s arrival. When I first found Jen’s channel I was also inspired to make my own channel, but I was far too nervous. I attempted to shoot some videos of my own and ended up trashing them before they saw the light of day.
Being self-conscious is something that I have struggled with my whole life. I have an extreme fear of being judged and being perceived in a negative light. Just recently, I have been trying to let go of that fear and really allow myself to live. Being surrounded by high and constant anxiety has held me back from trying so many things. I didn’t want that sense of anxiety and fear to hold me back from yet another opportunity that I wanted to explore. Last week, I uploaded my very first YouTube video. I decided upon a vlog style video so that I could convey a true sense of how my days go. I also wanted to display a stronger sense of my personality, because more often than not, I struggle with conveying it through writing.
From here on out, I hope to upload more and more YouTube content, splitting my time between my blog and my channel. I am so excited to bring you all in on this new journey of mine. I’m so ecstatic to see where it takes me and I hope you follow along!
